It was chilly this past weekend and I felt like curling up with a cuppa and a book. I’d run out of my latest novel but still felt like reading. So I hit my bookshelf to see what was unread there. I found a funny little book called Money Isn’t the Problem, You are . I’d bought it a couple of years ago at an Access Energy Transformation workshop. I didn’t continue with Access training after that workshop, but bought a couple of books because they sounded interesting and I added them to my reading pile.
So this particular cold Saturday, this book needed reading. It’s only 90 pages but don’t expect a light read, it’s chock-full of tools that make good sense, whether you’ve done the Access training or not!
I think it’s more like a demystified and de-mechanised Law of Attraction handbook. I’ve found a lot of LOA stuff is quite mechanical and as a holistic counsellor I find myself quite uncomfortable look at the world as compartmentalised bits. I have been thinking I could use a but of a buff-up in the LOA thinking area, and this book really did the job! It has a bunch of small simple actions that can clear the experience of limits in your life, without having to dig around for the source. Fast results is my kinda thing!
I might do a couple of other posts about this interesting little book, but for now here are a couple of suggestions that you can put to use right now.
I really get the first one because it’s kind of like an Afformation, Noah St John’s lovely mind-and-possibility-opening work. Thirty times a day, for three days, ask yourself this question:
What must I perceive, know, be and receive that would allow me to _________?
Fill in the blank with whatever is causing difficulty for you right now. The question opens you to the possibility of connecting with the truly infinite being that you really are, and sometime around the third or fourth day, inspiration strikes, apparently. I haven’t tried it, but I sat down at my computer today to type up and print a little note to stick on my board, to remind me to do this for a few days and see where I show up!
The second action the authors, Gary Douglas and Dain Heer. suggest is to paste the following sentence on your mirror (and anywhere else you want):
All of life comes to me with ease and joy and glory
Now before you click X because that’s just another affirmation and they are hard work, or don’t work, think about this.
It says “all of life”, that includes the stuff we usually prefer to not experience. What if you could experience everything with ease and joy and glory? Would the not-so-fun bits of life, experienced through a lens of ease and joy and glory, be closer to fun? Closer to happiness, which, the Dalai Llama said, is our purpose of our lives? I reckon it’s worth a try
So I made a little postie-thing to stick on my mirror and my computer monitor. And if you’d like to have them as well, please right click and save the jpgs below, or click here to download as a pdf file. Print, trim, stick up wherever you want. I’d love to hear how you do with them!
If you’d like to read this interesting little book, get it at Amazon or The Nile.
