EFT is a remarkable self-help tool. As Gary Craig says, try it on everything! You can get everything you need to use EFT from the free EFT manual, or you can buy the DVDs and tap along with all the many people Gary works with. And you will get great benefit from working with yourself in this way, no question. Do it, it will be worth it.
However, you may decide you don’t have the time to learn EFT, or you have some doubts that you can do it yourself (it’s very easy, give it a go!), or you may reach a time when you’re not making any further progress.
That’s when an experienced EFT therapist or practitioner can help. Often we can’t see what’s in our way because of our own blindspots. We’re so close to our own lives that we can’t see the patterns or the pitfalls. An experienced therapist helps you look at your life from a distance, helping you clear the emotional blocks as you go along, to arrive quickly at a place of clarify and hopefully, peace.
I have been using EFT since about 2001, and a couple of times a year I will have a session with a colleague, to move on some stuff that I’m experiencing. Why? Because I know that working with someone else who is experienced will help me see things that I would otherwise not see. I’m so convinced of this that now when an issue comes up for me, I very quickly contact my colleague and just deal with it. My colleague does the same with me – life is too short to mess about in misery when it’s possible to just move stuff on fast!
So by all means, teach yourself EFT and use it! You WILL get benefits. And if or when you get to a place where your movement isn’t what you’d like it to be, contact me for a phone session if you’re not near my clinic, or book an appointment at Sowelu.
